Alluring sports cars and heritage machinery set for Oulton Park

Sunday, August 15 2010

The Aston Martin Owners Club visits Oulton Park this Saturday (21 August) for a mixture of prestige and high speed action.

There will be a huge amount of variety on show with action from all eras ranging from pre-war Aston Martins, right up to modern day supercars.

Contemporary racing will be provided by a 90-minute endurance race for the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of Great Britain, featuring swooping and powerful Vantage N24/GT4 cars, which have also competed in classics such as the Nurburgring 24 Hours.

The category was won last time out at Brands Hatch in June by brothers Chris and Anthony Scragg, but Oulton Park will see Aston Martin's Design Director Marek Reichman take to the track in a GT4 for the first time, and he will be looking to craft his way to victory.

Lagonda will be celebrating their 60th anniversary at Oulton Park, and there are expected to be over 30 cars on the grid for their race, and there will be further action from the Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge, the Pirelli Ferrari Formula Classic, the Austin Healey Championship and the Jaguar XK Series.

Tickets for the Aston Martin Owners Club at Oulton Park on 21 August are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children ages 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
