Oulton Park revs up for BRSCC this weekend

Sunday, July 25 2010

The British Racing and Sports Car Club visits Oulton Park this Saturday (31 July) for a day of exciting racing from one of Britain's top club motorsport organisations.

Le Mans-style sports prototypes are in action in Cheshire, with action from both the Itchy Feet BRSCC OSS Championship and SRCC Sports 2000 Pinto & Duratec Championships.

The Itchy Feet OSS Championship is relatively new, only being founded initially as a series last year, but has been given championship status from this season onwards after a successful opening year that saw 53 competitors participate at some stage.

Tony Sinclair's Jade 3 leads the way in the standings, but by only a point with Simon Tilling breathing down his neck driving a Radical SR3.

It's almost as close in the Sports 2000 championship, with Neil Burroughs' Gunn TS10 just seven points ahead of Patrick Sherrington.

These light weight powerful sports cars will make for excellent viewing around the undulating Oulton Park circuit.

Other series in action this weekend include the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup, Formula Ford 1600, and Mighty Minis.

Tickets for the BRSCC Club Car Championships at Oulton Park on 31 July are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
