Oulton Park set for celebration of British motorsport

Sunday, May 23 2010

The Dunlop Great and British Festival roars into Oulton Park on Monday (31 May) for a gripping weekend of club motorsport.

Headlining this Bank Holiday is the Radical Cup, featuring powerful Le Mans-style sports cars.

Terrence Woodward and Ross Kaiser head the championship on 50 points, with Derek Johnston just four points behind in third.

Off the back of a double win at Spa Francorchamps, Woodward and Kaiser will be looking for further success this time out.

Also in action this weekend is the Mini Challenge, which provides some of the best door handle to door handle action in club motorsport.

Chris Knox claimed his first two wins in the series last time out at Snetterton, and had a third win in the bag, until reigning champion Luke Caudie squeezed past on the last lap of the final race.

Caudie leads the way again this season, but with only 11 points separating the top six drivers the series is wide open.

Completing the line up in Cheshire is the Citroen 2CV Championship, NW Sports Saloons and Sport Maxx Cup.

Vistors attending this weekend can also claim a free programme for the British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park, if they take their ticket stubs with them to the BTCC on 5/6 June.

Tickets for the Dunlop Great and British Festival at Oulton Park on 31 May are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children ages 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
