Packed grids head to Oulton Park this Saturday

Sunday, May 09 2010

The British Racing and Sports Car Club visits Cheshire this Saturday (15 May) for an exciting day of grass roots racing.

Perhaps the most anticipated series visiting Oulton Park is the BookaTrack.com Caterham Superlight R300 Championship.

With over 30 drivers on the grid, half of whom are race winners the action should be frantic.

Four drivers are reigning champions, with 13 having won a Caterham championship, and the majority no stranger to the podium.

The BRSCC Euro Saloons & Sportscar Championship which provided some thrilling action at the season opener at Silverstone should also provide entertaining viewing.

Any one of half a dozen drivers were in with a shout of victory during the two races, which were both won by Tony Soper, but only after mechanical failure struck Simon Blankley on the last lap in race one.

Also featuring on Saturday is the Avon Tyres Formula Ford Northern Championship, the Ma5da MX5 Championship, and the BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship.

Tickets for the British Racing and Sports Car Club at Oulton Park on 15 May are available from £10 for adults, with free entry for children ages 12 and under. For more information call 0870 950 9000 or click on the link below.
