BSB battle set to reach fever pitch at Oulton Park!

Tuesday, July 05 2011

The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship is set to reach fever pitch at Oulton Park in less than two weeks' time (15-17 July).

BSB is buzzing after two frantic races at the new Snetterton 300 and a controversial clash between title favourites Shane Byrne and John Hopkins.

SHAKEY Vs HOPPER - LET BATTLE COMMENCE!
HM Plant Honda's Byrne leads the championship standings by 19 points but Hopkins closed in with a victory and a third place at the last round. The American took his maiden BSB win at Oulton Park in May and loves the circuit, but having been denied at Snetterton Shakey will be out for revenge...

COMEBACK KIYO
Defending champ Ryuichi Kiyonari stormed through to win the second race at Snetterton to finally get his title attack back on track. Oulton Park has always been one of his strongest circuits and he took a win there back in May, so don't bet against the Japanese rider.

DUEL FOR TOP SIX INTENSIFIES
Relentless Suzuki's Josh Brookes has moved inside the top six in the standings for the first time this season. Just 19 points separate Brookes in sixth and Michael Rutter in twelfth. It's game on for the Showdown

BREAKING NEWS: ELLISON RETURNS!
Former race winner James Ellison will be making his BSB comeback in Cheshire after completing a deal with the Sorrymate.com Honda team.

Advance adult tickets for BSB raceday cost £25 online in advance - children aged 12 and under go free. To book call 0843 453 9000 or click the link below.
