MG Car Club action at Oulton Park this weekend

Monday, May 02 2011

The MG Car Club will visit Oulton Park this Saturday (7 May), with a race programme featuring the very best of the legendary sportscar marque.

The current LE500 sportscar can be seen racing with MGFs, TFs and ZRs in both road and race form in the MG Trophy Championship. The recent past is also celebrated with the Drayton Manor Park MG Metro Cup, featuring superminis from the '80s and '90s in both normally-aspirated and turbo guises.

Roadsters and GTs compete with a thundering roar in the BCV8 Championship, with the smaller Midget and Austin Healey Sprite sportscars taking to the track in the MG Midget Challenger. The Peter Best Insurance Challenge also sees action from throughout the marque's history, as does the Cockshoot Cup.

The Thoroughbred Sports Car Championship is open to other marques and often features D-Type replicas, Triumphs and Morgans and the latter have their own race in the Aero Racing Morgan Challenge for Roadsters, Plus 4s and Plus 8s.

Tickets for the MGCC Championships at Oulton Park are available from £10 for adults with free admission for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click the link below.
