Telegraph journalist learns to drive like Loeb with RallyMaster

Thursday, November 10 2011

Rally fever has hit the country once more with the season-ending Wales Rally GB. The incredible driving skills of Loeb, Hirvonen and co often seem to be otherworldly in the eyes of spectators but thanks to MSV's RallyMaster experience anyone can master the forest tracks and gravel paths of the trickiest stages!

The Daily Telegraph recently sent journalist and Rally fan Chris Knapman along to Brands Hatch to see if he could cope with oversteering slides, handbrake turns and Scandinavian flicks. Using the venue's rally stage, suitably dampened from seasonal rain, MSV's instructor went through the various techniques employed by world-class drivers on their way to stage wins.

Rally-driving teaches drivers car-control skills that are not just restricted to the forest. Controlling oversteer and learning how to recover an out-of-shape car are just two valuable techniques that can help prevent accidents on the road, especially in winter conditions.

Available at Brands Hatch and also on Oulton Park's tarmac stage, MSV's RallyMaster is the perfect Christmas present. See how the Telegraph's journalist got on in the video below.
