Hundreds of Santas set for festive Oulton Park charity run

Wednesday, October 26 2011

Oulton Park is once again pleased to support St Luke's Hospice by hosting their annual Santa Dash on Sunday 11 December, with registrations now open for people wishing to take part.

This popular family fun event gives you the chance to either take part in a 5 kilometre running race or a more leisurely cycle or stroll around the famous international track. Registration is £15 per adult and free for under 16s. The first race takes part at 12 noon.

Adults receive a full Santa suit and are fed and watered after their challenge. Under 16s can take part free of charge and can create their own Christmas themed fancy dress. St Luke's Hospice asks that all Santas commit to raising sponsorship for their efforts although there is no minimum amount.

Those not able to take part can still come along to cheer on the participants, and entry to Oulton Park is free of charge. A food fair will also be taking place and the Hospice will also be selling Nordman Christmas trees which are freshly chopped and transported from Scotland. Festive games and competitions will keep children entertained, and there will also be the opportunity to meet Santa himself. Chequers restaurant will also be open for refreshments.
