Important information about Oulton Park MCE BSB

Wednesday, May 02 2012

If you're coming along to Oulton Park this weekend (5-7 May) for the third round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship, here is some important information to help you make the most of your visit.

Weekend Camping

All public camping is behind Old Hall corner. There will be no public camping in the infield. All campers will enter the campsite via the Eastgate entrance.

Click here to view a map of the campsite and facilities.

New for 2012 - exclusive to campers only there will be a Campsite Beer Tent, with a band on Saturday night and a disco on the Sunday night.

Access to the campsite will be available from midday this Friday (4 May).  Camping tickets can be purchased on the gate at a cost of £25 per person.

Tickets

You will need to bring your original tickets to the circuit - copies and receipts are not accepted. All advance tickets have now been dispatched and were sent by either Recorded or Special Delivery, meaning a signature is required.

In the rare instance that your tickets have not arrived in time you will need to purchase them at the gate price and obtain a refund after the event by returning the gate ticket stubs and your original tickets to the venue office.

Programmes

Event programmes are available for just £5 from the dedicated programme booth opposite Chequers restaurant. Each programme includes rider profiles and a selection of articles on all championships competing this weekend.

Pit walk

There is a pit walk on race day (Monday) at 10:50, giving you the chance to meet all of your favourite MCE BSB riders. Anyone intending to take part will need to arrive at the queuing point next to the Race Control building at least 15 minutes in advance.

Off-track entertainment

In addition to the activities mentioned above, there will also be off-track entertainment including a fun fair and free face painting in Chequers Restaurant.

Gate opening times

Oulton Park will be open to the public from 7.00am on all three days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday).

STIHL big screen

You won't miss any of the action thanks to the STIHL big screen located at Cascades and the second screen can be viewed from the new spectator viewing bank at Deers Leap.

Grandstand seating

The Pit Straight grandstand is a prime position to soak up the pre-race atmosphere as well as the racing. Directly facing the starting grid, you will feel the tension as riders prepare for the start, before they charge down the straight into Old Hall Corner. Tickets are available from Chequers crossroads programme booth on Sunday (£5) and Monday (£16).

Post qualifying press conference

Following the MCE BSB qualifying session the post qualifying press conference will take place at Chequers adjacent to the Trade Zone at 13:55

Disabled access

For disabled access please follow signs for public parking, then directions for label holders. Please ensure a disabled label is visible to traffic marshals and await direction.

Win £500 of STIHL outdoor power tools

The STIHL Power Award gives you the chance to win STIHL outdoor power tools worth £500 and your photo could appear in the 'Gallery' on the BSB website. All you need to do is send a photo of the first rider to pass the STIHL No. 1 marker at the first intermediate checkpoint and send it to bsbmedia@msvracing.co.uk
