British F3 Race One rescheduled for Monday due to barrier damage

Saturday, April 15 2017

The opening race of the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship has been rescheduled for Monday (17 April) due to barrier damage at Oulton Park. The decision was jointly taken by the MSA Steward of the meeting and David Scott, the BRDC British Formula 3 Clerk of the Course.

David Scott, the BRDC British Formula 3 Clerk of the Course, said: "In the MINI Challenge qualifying, a car left the circuit at Island Bend, causing significant damage to the barrier. Whilst the barrier was repaired by circuit staff satisfactorily for closed wheel racing to continue, it was considered unsuitable for single-seaters. The view was supported by the MSA Steward."

The timetable for Monday's racing has been revised, and all three BRDC British F3 races at Oulton Park will take place across the day. Race one will begin at 9:55, the partially reversed grid race two gets underway at 14:30 before the third and final race takes place at 17:35.
