Tickets for Vintage Festivals now on sale

Saturday, January 21 2017

Tickets for all three Vintage Festivals at MSV circuits are now on sale, and the events at Oulton Park, Snetterton and Cadwell Park are set to bring the past back to life this summer.

The Vintage Sports-Car Club has thrilled crowds since its formation over 80 years ago, and modern-day events still focus on the early years of motoring and motorsport. For 2017, the club will run racing events under the new Formula Vintage guise, with entries spanning the decades from the 1900s to the early 60s.

The VSCC recently returned to Oulton Park after a hiatus, and the club's Cheshire fixture has quickly re-established itself as a summer highlight. Taking place on Saturday 10 June, the event features the Hawthorn Memorial Trophies, with the prestigious Trophy Races for Vintage, Pre-1961 and Pre-war Sports-Cars and plenty of off-track attractions that will include period car displays, themed food and drink, and shopping to create a real garden party atmosphere.

The VSCC was formed in the same year that Cadwell Park was established, and the two have become synonymous with each other over the years. The club's annual event, which will take place on Sunday 23 July this season, is one of the most eagerly-awaited, taking place at an unspoilt venue perfect for nostalgia. The Shuttleworth and Nuffield Trophies meeting is expected to include the Spero & Voiturette Trophies Race for small capacity racing cars, the annual Frazer Nash Race and popular Triple-M Register MG vs Austin 7 Challenge, as well as off-track entertainment.

Making a much welcome return to the calendar is Snetterton's late-summer event on Sunday 17 September. Incorporating the Seaman Memorial Trophies, the event, which takes place on the 200 circuit, will also feature a wealth of attractions both on and off the track.
