The 750 Motor Club head to Brands Hatch this Saturday

Tuesday, August 13 2019

The 750 Motor Club will take a trip to Brands Hatch this Saturday (17 August) for a busy one-day meeting of diverse club level racing on the Indy circuit.

Single-seater sports car action is provided within the Locost Championship featuring a wealth of open-top machines. Visitors can anticipate lots of late braking and daring overtakes throughout both of their scheduled races.

Also competing this Saturday includes the MR2 Championship, a one make series dedicated to Toyota's popular Japanese sports car. The series is split into three classes ensuring that all three generations of the model are catered for to help provide interesting racing packed with tense battles throughout the grid.

Competitors of the Type-R trophy will also do battle this Saturday with the championship using the popular Honda Civic EP3 Type-R as their vehicle of choice. Limited permitted upgrades help to deliver a competitive championship on a tight budget making this an attractive series amongst club level racers.

The 116 Trophy is a one make budget endurance series for the BMW 1116i models produced between 2004-2006. Races include two mandatory pit stops and will provide plenty of additional drama this Saturday.

Further entertainment will come from the MX-5 Cup with the series set to bring a grid of Mk1 Mazda MX-5s to the Kent venue. Drivers will pilot their 1.6 litre sports cars around the undulating Indy circuit for a total of two races throughout the day.

Other series competing this weekend include the MG Car Club's BCV8 Championship and the Classic 4 Pot Porsche Trophy.

Please note, this is a separate event to Festival Italia (Sunday 18 August), for Festival Italia information click here.
