An eclectic mix of classic sports and saloon cars are set to entertain at Oulton Park this Saturday (6 October) as the Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC) holds its final meeting of the season at the Cheshire track.
Set up in 2001 by grass roots racers, the CSCC has become one of the most respected clubs in national motor sport and with seven races set to take place around the celebrated 2.6 mile International circuit, close and hard-fought racing should be guaranteed.
Several categories of classic car are set to take to the circuit throughout the day, including in the 'Swinging Sixties' series, a 40-minute event involving contemporary sports, saloon and GT cars. Aston Martin, Jaguar, Porsche, Ford and Triumph are just some of the great names set to be represented on a highly competitive grid.
For the patriotic enthusiastic, cars based on the classic Lotus Seven and Caterham design will also take to the track in the 40-minute Magnificent 7s event, while fans of Jaguar can expect to see saloons, XJS and XK8s tussle in a special 20-minute contest during the afternoon.
Further support action will be provided by the Tin-Top series for touring cars under two litres, with cars ranging from the Mini Cooper S to the Honda Civic Type-R, while the Future Classics is another popular series designed for sports and GT cars built during the 1970-80s.
Tickets for the Classic Sports Car Club at Oulton Park on 6 October are available for £10 in advance with free admission for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click this link.
