Club challengers set for championship deciders

Saturday, October 06 2012

The British Racing and Sports Car Club makes its final 2012 visit to Oulton Park this Saturday (13 October) with a trio of series all set to entertain on the undulating Cheshire circuit.

The final two races of the Dunlop TVR Challenge will settle the championship with Tim Davis in his Tuscan RV8 and Dean Cook's Tuscan AJP separated by just eight points. Large grids of these iconic British sports cars are expected at the circuit closest to the brand's spiritual home in Blackpool.

Meanwhile the conclusion of the Ford XR Challenge also takes place in Cheshire, featuring Escort XR3is and Fiesta XR2s. Expect to see a large grid of these iconic machines as the championship battles are resolved.

Completing the line up is a four hour endurance contest from the ever popular Fun Cup Championship. The cars may look like beefed up VW Beetles, but are actually race designed single-seaters with a space frame chassis and grids regularly top 30 cars. Regulations are strictly controlled, which means the racing is close, and often spectacular!

Tickets for the BRSCC at Oulton Park on 13 October are available in advance for £10 with free admission for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or click this link.
