Feast of touring car action at Oulton Park this Saturday

Saturday, September 15 2012

The British Automobile Racing Club returns to Oulton Park this Saturday (22 September) for a day packed with saloon and sports car racing. In addition to powerful sportscars, there's plenty to entertain touring car fans, with many classics on track.

The latest round of the CNC Heads Sports Saloons Championship is sure to provide plenty of spectacular entertainment with a wide variety of machinery on offer, from silhouettes, to hatchbacks, modifieds, and one-make racers.

Caterham-style racers are also eligible to race in the CNC Heads series, whilst a whole field of the classic British sportscars can be seen in the McMillan Motorsport Caterham Graduates race, where slipstreaming action can be found.

The focus then switches to classic saloon cars with a wide variety of eras covered by several different series. The Thermex Classic Saloon and Historic Touring Cars, Autoglym Post Historic and Hammerite Classic Group 1 Touring Cars, SVG Motorsport Pre '93 Touring Cars, Sub Zero / Wolf Classic Thunder Touring Cars and Pro Driver Blue Oval Saloon Cars covers the 1950s to the turn of the current century. For fans of touring car racing through the years, this event will be a must!
