BARC racers battle one last time at Oulton Park this year

Monday, October 21 2019

Oulton Park promises another busy day of racing this Saturday (26 October) in which a total of three titles will be decided on the Cheshire venue's Island circuit.

The Mighty Minis series returns to Oulton for one last time this year with plenty of thrills and spills guaranteed. Launched in 1996 this racing series boasts impressive grids with the iconic vehicle well represented. A small lightweight chassis in combination with relatively powerful engines result in go kart style handling and plenty of close racing.

The CNC Heads Sports/Saloon Championship also makes a welcome visit to Cheshire this Saturday with a wide mixture of machines set to compete. This Saturday marks the final round of the 2019 12-round championship with classes catering for both extensively modified race cars and near standard road cars, and everything in between. With two rounds this Saturday there will be plenty of exciting racing as competitors aim to take individual, and overall, class wins.

The Michelin Clio Cup will bring a grid of hatchbacks to Oulton Park this weekend with as drivers take on the undulations of one of the UK's most picturesque circuits. Devised into three classes, the series uses everything from third generation road-going Clio Sports to full race spec versions.

The Britcar Dunlop Endurance Championship will celebrate all things long distance racing this Saturday with a brace of 60-minute races. Although no titles will be up for grabs this weekend, drivers will still be feeling the pressure at the penultimate round of their 2019 season. It's Paul Bailey and Andy Schulz who currently lead the overall standings in their Ferrari 488 with solo entrant Tim Docker a close second in his VW Golf. The father and son duo of Peter and Mark Cunningham will also be ones to watch who currently occupy third in the standings with their Porsche 997 Cup.

Tickets for the Britcar Dunlop Endurance Championship at Oulton Park (Saturday 26 October) are available online for £12 until midday Wednesday 23 October, or on the gate for £16 with free entry for under-13s. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
